At Outdoor Care, we understand how important family and significant relationships are in a young person’s life. Wherever possible and appropriate, we aim to work in partnership with parents, carers and family members to support positive outcomes for children and young people. Reviewing Officers and other professionals to provide high-quality residential care for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years.
Our Approach
We provide a safe, stable and nurturing home for children aged 8 to 18 years. Our focus is on helping young people feel secure, build trust and develop positive relationships with the adults caring for them.
We recognise that coming into care can be a difficult time for families, and we aim to approach every situation with understanding, respect and openness.
Working Together
Where it is in the young person’s care plan, we will work with families and carers to support meaningful contact and communication.
We will:
- Keep families informed in line with agreed plans
- Support positive and safe contact arrangements
- Work collaboratively with Social Workers to ensure consistency
- Listen to family views and contributions where appropriate
We believe that families play an important role in helping young people maintain identity, connections and a sense of belonging.
Supporting Your Child
Our experienced staff team provides 24-hour care in a safe and structured environment. We support young people with:
- Emotional and behavioural needs (EBD)
- Learning disabilities (LD)
- Building confidence and independence
- Education and personal development
- Positive routines and relationships
Every child is treated as an individual, with care plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.
Communication and Transparency
We aim to maintain open and honest communication with families and carers, in line with care plans and safeguarding requirements. We understand how important it is to feel reassured about your child’s wellbeing, and we will always work with professionals to ensure information is shared appropriately and responsibly.
