At Outdoor Care, we work in partnership with Local Authorities, Social Workers, Independent Reviewing Officers and other professionals to provide high-quality residential care for children and young people aged 8 to 18 years.
Our Service
With over 27 years of experience in residential childcare, we are committed to delivering safe, stable and nurturing placements that promote positive outcomes and support long-term development.
Outdoor Care is an Ofsted-registered two-bedded children’s home based in Newcastle upon Tyne, providing placements for children with:
Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Learning Disabilities (LD)
We offer structured, relationship-based care within a consistent and supportive environment, designed to meet individual needs and promote stability.
Working in Partnership
We recognise that effective outcomes for young people are achieved through strong multi-agency collaboration.
We work closely with:
- Local Authority Social Workers
- Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs)
- Education providers
- CAMHS and healthcare professionals
- Families and carers (where appropriate)
We maintain clear communication, timely reporting and transparency in all aspects of care planning and review processes.
Safeguarding and Quality of Care
Safeguarding is central to everything we do. Our staff are trained in recognising and responding to risk, and we maintain robust safeguarding procedures in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
