Beginning as a specialist provider of 2:1 crisis intervention services, Outdoor Care has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care and support to children with complex needs.
Six years ago, to reflect changing client needs, we moved our services from rural north Northumberland and opened our first Ofsted-registered two-bedded children’s home, continuing our commitment to providing positive outcomes for young people.
Safe, Nurturing Care Across the North East
Now based in Newcastle upon Tyne, we work with Local Authorities throughout the North East, providing safe, stable and nurturing environments where children can feel valued, supported and understood.
Our core values of Safe, Nurturing and Trusted underpin everything we do. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to build positive relationships, develop confidence, gain independence and prepare successfully for the next stage of their life.
Specialist Care Tailored to Every Child
We support children and young people aged 8 to 18 years, including those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). Working closely with Social Workers, families and partner agencies, we create individualised care and support plans that recognise each child’s unique strengths, needs and aspirations.
Our established and stable staff team brings many years of combined experience working with children in care. Through consistency, compassion and professional expertise, we help young people overcome challenges, achieve their goals and build positive, rewarding futures.
